Cora Jean Griffin, 85, a resident of Houston, TX for 67 years, passed away October 9, 2023 in Pearland, TX. She was born October 20, 1937 in Livingston, TX. For over 25 years she taught at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School as well as being a member at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic church in Houston, TX.

Cora reunites with her sons: James B. Griffin, and Chris H. Griffin; parents, Herbert and Nola Henry; sisters: Hazel Scott, and Gertie Mae Harris; brothers: Herbert Henry Jr., Billy Henry, Joe Henry, Otis Henry.

She leaves behind her daughter, Vonda Griffin Mays; grandchildren: Nina Micheaux, husband Edward, Janiqura Griffin, Julian Griffin, wife Jamie, Brandolyn Golden, Chris Griffin, Darren Griffin, and Cameron Griffin as well as six great grandchildren; sister, Geraldine Pogue; and brother, Jack Henry, wife, Theresa, and a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends.

There will be a visitation Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Crowder Funeral Home in Pearland.
