  1. Gale and family,
Your DAD was a great guy and good to me, always willing to pick at or tease me about anything, followed with a good natured laugh and big smile and never meaning to hurt. He will be missed by all that knew him.

  4. Gale and Donnie and all the family, we are all so saddened by your loss. Your dad was a very wonderful man and husband and father. My father adored him and he was the perfect big brother. My dad was probably such a great man in large part due to your dad. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We love you so dearly.

I would like to express our deepest smithies for your loss!
Don & I were friends for several years as hunting buddies. As we made annual dove hunts to south TX for many years. Don inspired me as a person and a hunter he was always truthful, happy and willing to give you some shooting tips. (I believe he was instinct shooter which is hard to pass on.) But that is what made him such good shoot.
Not sure that these are appropriate remarks but this how I remember him and will keep in my good times memory bank.

  7. Gale, Cindy, Josh, Aaron & Family:

Don was such a caring man with no limits to his love. He will always be remembered as truthful, honorable, and generous with his time and efforts to help anyone who genuinely needed/sought his wisdom and assistance.

Don leaves with us a legacy that will be cherished forever; and, of course, he will be deeply missed.

  13. To my Texas families,

I am saddened to lose the last of my daddy”s brothers and hold you all close in my heart during this time. I loved to visit Uncle Don and am so glad that I made the trips down there that I did and that I always got to see him so he could tease me. He was so much like his youngest brother, my daddy, that I could see who had influenced my dad the most growing up. What a great job he and Aunt Catherine did in raising their sons, Donnie and Gale, into the absolutely wonderful men, husbands, fathers, and grandfathers that they are today. I know he was incredibly proud of you and all his family. May you find comfort and peace in his passing. He will be greatly missed by all of us.
