Lisa Trang Do Velasquez
After a hard fought battle with cancer, Lisa Trang Do Velasquez of Pearland, TX, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2023 in Houston, TX surrounded by loved ones. Lisa was born on October 12, 1979 in Houston, TX to Tony and Jennifer Do. She has been a resident of Pearland for over thirty years and was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church. Lisa worked at Kelsey Seybold Clinic in Stafford, TX.
Lisa’s heart was always with her family and she cherished every moment with her two boys. She was a loving and dedicated mother who enjoyed cheering for her boys on the sidelines at all their sporting events. Lisa enjoyed working out and was an avid sports enthusiast. She was a fan of all the Houston-area professional sport teams, but most of all, the Houston Oilers. She was a loyal friend and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Lisa showed great resilience, strength, and courage when faced with any adversity even when she was diagnosed with stomach cancer in August 2022. Despite her fatigue, Lisa remained dedicated to her work, family, and her perseverance to beat her illness and maintained her bravery throughout her final days.
Lisa is preceded in death by her mother, Jennifer Do. She is survived by her father, Tony Do; sons, Gavin and Logan Velasquez; sister, Michelle Do; and a host of other family and friends. As a passionate dog lover, Lisa also consider her Chihuahua Terrier, Tucker, to be a member of the family. Lisa will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A visitation for Lisa will be held at Crowder Funeral Home, 2422 E Broadway St Pearland, TX 77581 on Friday, September 29, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a blessing of the casket and soul at 6:30 p.m. followed by prayer and rosary. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 8150 Park Place Blvd Houston, TX 77017 on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 8:00 a.m. Interment will follow at SouthPark Cemetery in Pearland, TX.
Pallbearers serving will be Brandon Nguyen, Gavin Velasquez, Kevin Bui, Aaron Nguyen, Tom Nguyen, and Christian Bui.
My sincerest condolences to Lisa’s family and especially her boys! She was a beautiful person inside and out! I worked with her at Kelsey Seybold and she was always so kind with a great smile and laughter. She was so strong and positive with her diagnosis! She will be greatly missed by so many! Prayers for her boys and family during this very difficult time! Lean on God to get you through these hard times!
I got the pleasure to meet Lisa when I was visiting her Aunt back in college. She was a beautiful, happy, full of life person. Fast forward years after that, i saw her last with a handsome little boy named Gavin. What an honor to have known her. We gained another Angel to watch over her boys.
My sincerest condolences to Lisa’s family, her father TK and her sister Michelle. We will pray for the grief to be short and beautiful memories long for her and her family.
You were an fierce friend to in my hardest times. I wish I could have taken this away from you. I hope our friendship and pact of strength will carry you to Valhalla where you belong. You’re a great mother and awesome human being. Thank you for being apart of my life. Love to you Lisa.

Wow I just cannot believe that Lisa is no longer with us but I know she is here in spirit. Lisa was a beautiful young woman and a mother of two outstanding young boys. I had the opportunity to get to know Lisa on a personal level. She was an incredible young lady with so much ambition and love for life. She enjoyed all Sports especially Football. The Houston Oilers was her favorite team and colors. Lisa could dance all nite to the day light , she just enjoyed life and most of all she love children. She would take her time out to lean a hand to anyone , it could be a stranger or person next door. I will miss her with all my heart ; she is in a better place where she belongs in heaven with her Mother. I will always cherish our memories that we share together and the great times we spend together. Lisa would be so proud of her sister, she love her so much . Lisa heaven got them a a true Jewel in heaven. I know I will see you again one day real soon. You are truly amazing woman but a better person. Love you Haywood
Lisa you will be missed so much. Such an amazing Team Mom to so many athletes in our organization. We are so grateful for her generosity and commitment. Our thoughts and prayers are with Logan and Gavin.
