Thomas Frank Loppnow
October 29, 1950 – September 7, 2023
Heaven gained an angel when Thomas Frank Loppnow (72), loving husband and father, passed away on September 7, 2023, while peacefully sleeping at his home in Seabrook, Texas. Tom had an adventurous spirit and was a beacon of knowledge, classic rock connoisseur and wine enthusiast. He cherished his family and his faith above anything else; and was the type of person that would give you the shirt off his back. He enjoyed golfing, firing up the bbq, three-hour lunches, and everyday was “Another day in Paradise”.
Tom was born on October 29, 1950, in Norway, Michigan to Frank and Ruth (Cowels) Loppnow. Growing up in Appleton, Wisconsin, he became a lifelong Badger fan and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1973 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He continued to become a citizen of the world, living a life most only dream of. With his family by his side, he traveled the globe twice living in multiple countries and continents and honored in National Geographic for leading projects in New Zealand.
Tom is survived by his wife of 43 years, Ronna Loppnow; 3 daughters: Jennifer Loppnow, Lacey (Ryan) Morris, and Stephanie Loppnow; 4 grandchildren: Zac Mendoza, Lily Mendoza, Magnolia Morris, and Jack Morris; 3 siblings: William (Sally) Loppnow, James (Patty) Loppnow, and Lori Gengler; and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
There will be a live stream Prayer on Wednesday, September 13 at 10am. A Celebration of Life in his honor will be held in Seabrook, Texas late October 2023. Details to follow in the near future.
