Lee Anderson
Lee Anderson, 68 of League City passed away on July 30, 2023.
He was born in Galveston, Tx. on September 30, 1954 to parents Olan Anderson and Mary Souza Anderson (Myrick). He attended schools in Texas City and graduated in Baytown. He was employed at Union Carbide for several years and later was manager at several auto parts stores. Lee enjoyed fishing, taking cruises, and watching classic western movies. He loved country music, playing the guitar and especially telling jokes. With his great sense of humor, Lee had the gift of being a terrific storyteller much to the amusement of his family and friends. Lee was also an ordained minister for the Assembly of God Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his step father Eddie Myrick, and brother Walter Dee Anderson. He is survived by his two sons, Andy Anderson and wife Michelle, and Jared Anderson; daughters, Mitzi Anderson, Jacki Anderson Sanders and husband Toby; sisters, Pat Anderson, Stella Luton and husband Jim, Lorine De Vries and husband Ralph, Cheryl Dwyer and husband Charlie, Sharon Arnold, Donna Vaughn and husband Greg, Clara Coats, Paula Gremillion, and brother Olan Anderson, Jr.; 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 3, 2023 with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 pm at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas.
What a wonderful friend, lover of God & his Word. You taught me a lot and always challenged me to think about the scripture in the light of the H.S.
You made me laugh so many times. You always had a “good” joke or a story to tell me. I fell in love with you the first time I met you. It kust wasn’t meant to be more than a wonderful friendship. I’m so relieved that you are out of pain and in the arms of Jesus in paradise.. Until we see each other again, I will hold you close in my heart, my favorite cowboy. ❤️ 💙 🤠

I’m so sorry for the kids of your daddy. He spoke often of his love for his children. I’m praying for all of you.
My little brother, Cowboy, as you walk through the pearly gates, God will greet you with open arms. He will lead you down a street of gold to see our beautiful mother and brother, and all of our loved ones who are there in our Fathers House, the place called Heaven. If there is a guitar there, I hope you play it and sing among the angels, and if you hear an angelic voice above all the others you’ll know it’s mom, she loved to sing. Tell a few jokes, then, take a walk with our brother, he will be happy to see you, and tell him I said hello and that I miss him. I will miss you too. And one last thing: I always seem to remember when you were that snaggletooth little boy with the great big smile, the little boy who was always at the supper table anxiously waiting to go back outside to play, the little boy who loved kittens and catching fireflies, the same little boy I hugged in the back yard with my hair in curlers!! So, Cowboy, here’s another big hug!! I love you!! Always, your Sissy.
My heart feels heavy that you are gone. You were a Great Uncle and We will miss You. We will meet again one day.
