Helene Carmel Sireci
Helene Carmel Sireci was born October 12, 1921 in San Anselmo, CA and passed away in Webster, TX on July 9, 2023 at the age of 101. She lived in League City and Friendswood area for over 20 years. Helene enjoyed going to the Friendswood Senior Center and loved being a member of Ladies of the Knights of Columbus with her church St. Mary of the Expectation Catholic Church in League City.
Helene is reunited with her husband of over 50 years, Joseph Francis Sireci, Jr. and her son, Joseph Francis Sireci, III.
She leaves behind her daughters: Catherine Salerno husband Anthony; and Charlene Sireci; sons: Michael P. Sireci, wife Barbara, Paul F. Sireci, wife Annabelle, and James Sireci, wife Emiko; fifteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Helene volunteered as a nurse during WWII, and met her husband, Joe Sireci, a Navy Pilot, and married in 1946. They lived in Hawaii before settling on the East Coast. Joe and Helene traveled throughout the world. During her career, Helene worked as a clothing buyer for major retail stores and was a Master Doll Maker and teacher of reproduction antique dolls.

My deepest condolences to the Sireci family and thank you for sharing your precious mother with us. She definitely kept us on our toes at the Friendswood Sr Center. She amazed us with her fierce competitiveness in playing Hand, Knee and Foot. Fly high my Sunshine until we meet again. Love and hugs
Helene loved to play Cards at the Senior Center. One of my last memories was when she played Bunco she loved it. What a memory I will always have of Helene being around for 101 years and still able to get around and play games. She will be missed at the Friendswood Senior Center. Thankful the Lord allow our paths to cross.
Helene was my best friend. We cruised together, attended Red Hat conventions, played Bunco once a month for years. We enjoyed a glass of wine while sitting in my backyard or just sharing life’s up and downs while having lunch, dinner or breakfast in our PJ’s at Cracker Barrel. She taught me how prayers can change one’s heart and her tenacity was catching. My family adored her. She was my grandchildren’s First Communion God Mother. Helene will always be in my heart and I hope only to be as gracious and giving as she was. A fine Lady has left this earth. Jesus, take care of her.

We often heard inspiring stories from James and Emiko about James’ mom. We hope the whole family finds peace during these sorrowful times.
I will remember Helene and miss having lunch and then playing cards. Always on my birthday and holidays was a beautiful card waiting for me!!!
I am in posesión of two beautiful dolls that she enjoyed making and I will keep those close to my heart!!! Until we see each other again dear friend!!!

Helene was a wonderful friend and we tried to stay in touch after she moved to Friendswood. She was loving, kind and so smart. She loved talking about her family. I am so sorry for your loss. Elaine Del Buono
