I knew Steve through my son in law Rob Scherer. Steve had visited many times when I was there. He was a gentle giant. Always so polite and respectful. I loved talking with him because he had a dry humor that would make you laugh. Always looked his best. I will miss my visits with him. Rest in peace my dear friend.
The last of Dr. Hunter Thompson’s “Lost Gonzo.” Led a life of surreal episodes on the beach, on the oceans, in the pharmacy, and mind trips in Lake Charles…He is one of those unique individuals that cherished his family and countless friends…His legacy will always endure… He was my friend, my brother in misdemeanor’s, my road trip companion…He is Steven Lee, “The Lost Gonzo.”
The world lost a great soul but heaven is singing his song. The smile and the Expression when he called BS, I’ll NEVER forget, Lov ya Steve.

Rest in Paradise, my friend. Prayers for his sister and family. 🙏❤️🙏
Steve was an island friend. Such a nice guy! Prayers for peace to his family and friends. ❤️🙏🏼
Gin, I met Steve in 1973 at a wedding he was standing in, friends of ours. When we left that reception, Joel had renewed a friendship and I had made a new one. Steve is one of those people that light up a room or a town or a situation. His passing dims the world. He was simply one of the good guys. I know he thought you “hung the moon”. The love you shared is not gone; it’s still there and you both can benefit from loving each other still. Prayers for you and Erica as you process his absence. Hope is knowing that you will all be together again. Love and hugs.
* Tantos buenos momento en CLS ayudando a la gente y buenos momentos en isla mujeres siempre te recordamos Mr. SteveO

Steve was my soul mate. We always loved each other but we just wanted different things in a marriage. I loved fishing and diving (not so much hunting) but wanted a partner for so much more. He understood this as I understood him. He was a wonderful human being and I know he is making a difference in heaven. Love to all our old friends and Ginny❤️
