Christopher Charles Bramer

Long time resident of Galveston county, Christopher Charles Bramer passed away on April 4, 2023. Chris was born on February 11, 1959, in Traverse City, MI to Otto and Florence Bramer. Raised alongside his sister Kathy Bramer and 2 brothers Ray and Randy Bramer. Chris graduated from Traverse City Central High School then earned his Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University. Go Spartans! Shortly after, he moved to Texas to join the car industry and ultimately meet his wife of 39 years, Julie Bramer. They bore 3 children, Rameses, Tyson and Destini Bramer, and raised them in Dickinson, TX for the majority of their lives.

If Chris had one true love (other than his family) it was music. From the likes of Motown to disco, Classic Rock to 80s pop. When he wasn’t taking them to concerts, he was taking them on memorable vacations. Most frequently to Mackinac Island, his favorite place to visit.

In his later years he moved with his wife to League City, TX and joined the Mancuso MotorSports family. Together they built a new home for their children to visit whenever they needed a taste of the loving childhood he gave us.

Chris was an avid sports fan, forever supporting his team from Michigan State, as well as the  Detroit Tigers and Houston Astros. If you ever had the pleasure of being in the car with him, you know sports radio was what you’d be listening to.

Although a hard worker, he always left time for play. He commanded the presence of any room as soon as he walked in. He was a true example of the life of a party with the ability to make anyone laugh. His smile and laughter will truly be missed, but his memory will be carried on through his family and friends.

  8. This picture is so perfect to share. He always was smiling, just like this photo. Always friendly and the life of the party. Chris instantly made everyone he met feel welcome and comfortable. He would have done anything for his family, and loved them all with his whole heart. It’s so hard to lose someone you love, especially when they are so full of life. I know Chris will be watching over his three wonderful kids and his beautiful wife, waiting until they see each other again. Uncle Chris will be missed deeply and left quite a legacy. Love to you all.

  9. The Bramer family has held a special place in my heart since 2015. That’s when I had the pleasure of meeting Chris for the first time; It was a memorable experience. Chris embraced me with open arms from day one. He always treated me as family. Throughout the years I witnessed Chris to be one of the most loving fathers I’ve ever met. He was passionate and loving with a kind and gentle soul.

He provided a wonderful life for Julie, Rameses, Tyson, and Destini. The most important thing to him was always family. It was an honor to have known Chris for eight years, although I wish that number was much, much higher.

You will be missed, Chris. You have left so many people with such wonderful memories, myself included. I will cherish those memories and the times we’ve spent together.

  11. My cousin Chris always, always lit up the room everywhere he went and made everyone’s heart sing. People simply gravitated to him and felt his warmth, love, and generosity. He an earnest appreciation for just a good joke, story or spending some time together. The thing I will never forget about Chris was how absolutely genuine his heart was- he lit up rooms because he was authentic and couldn’t help but to emanate his sincere love and laughter everywhere he went. As the youngest of the cousins on the Bramer/ Deuben side, I will always feel a special bond with him and for our mutual love for a having an epic party- it must be in our DNA. I will always cherish the laughter I shared with him. My heart is with Julie, Ramses, Tyson, Destini and the rest of the family through this tremendously difficult time.
