Delayne Dunn Gyorfi, age 75 years, passed away in Webster, TX, on January 4, 2023 after a brief illness.  She was born on August 20, 1947, the daughter of Robert Lloyd Dunn and Mary Kathryn Dunn in Vernon, TX.  She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Ronald Alex Gyorfi, daughter Kristen Delayne Gyorfi, sons Ryan Alex Gyorfi and Dr. Justin Robert Gyorfi, granddaughters Madelyn Leigh Gyorfi and Claire Kathryn Gyorfi, nieces Tracy and Edie Wynn and nephew Charles Garrison from Ft. Worth, TX.

Delayne was a 30-year retiree from the Xerox Corporation where she worked as a Field Service Technician and was well known in the Clear Lake City area of Houston where her customer base included all of the Clear Creek Independent School District schools.  Even 20 years after her retirement, teachers would still come up to her in stores and craft shows to say hello and wish her well.  That was the effect that she had on those around her.

She was also well known on the Clear Lake area craft show circuit for her work with scented candles, and glass and mosaic creations that she would design, create, display and sell at the year-round shows and events that she would regularly frequent.

No memorial service was planned in accordance with the family’s wishes and the specifics of the joint wills but if anyone so chooses to honor her memory, please consider a donation to the animal rescue organization of your choice.  She was always a softy for anything with fur and will be missed immeasurably by her family and friends.
