Carolyn Rountree
Carolyn Grace Cade Rountree passed away on December 7 at age 80. She was born May 11, 1942 in Austin, TX to parents Helen B. Michel Cade and A. C. Cade.
Carolyn was married for 61 years to Robert Rountree and they have two sons – Roderick and Rawlins. Roderick is married to Jennifer Scofield Rountree and they have two sons – Christopher and Collin. Rawlins is married to Wendy Acosta Rountree and they have two daughters – Zoe and Amber.
Carolyn will be buried with a private family service at Forrest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
I am so sorry for your loss. Carolyn was a genuinely kind, sweet, loving, & generous lady, and she will be missed by many. She was fun and always had great stories to tell when speaking of her many travels and art collections. I really enjoyed the times we we were together, and she will live forever in my heart; it was a pleasure to have called her my friend.

I am heartsick at the loss of my beautiful neighbor of 44 years! I could never have asked for a better neighbor! Carolyn was one special lady! So kind, thoughtful, talented beyond words and always thinking of and doing for everyone else! I am blessed to have had Carolyn in my life all these year’s and will miss her dearly! I always wished I could be as good a person as Carolyn!
Rest In Peace Carolyn you were an amazing woman and such a kind hearted woman. Such a wonderful neighbor to my mom and dad for 44 years. Heaven gained an amazing Angel ❤️
