John Peter Pandolph

John Peter Pandolph passed away Sunday June 5, 2022, at the age of 86.  He had been a citizen of League City for 54 years.  John was born on November 21, 1935, in New York City, the second child of Wanda and Joseph Pandolph.  After graduating from an aviation trade school, he enlisted in the United States Army and spent 28 months in Korea.  He was then transferred to Fort Eustas, Virginia where he met the love of his life, Marion Talley.  They were married on Memorial Day May 30, 1957.  After a brief stay in East Orange, New Jersey, they moved to Sulphur, Louisiana.  John worked for City Services and went to school at McNeese State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physics and a minor in mathematics.   In 1963, John was hired by Boeing in Huntsville, Alabama.  John transferred with Boeing in 1968 to Clear Lake to support the space program at NASA.

John and Marion settled in League City to raise their family.   John was an active member of St. Mary’s Church for many years, especially assisting in setting up the electrical feeds for the annual Bazaar.   John was also very active in the League City Little League, serving as Player Agent for several years.

John worked for Boeing Aerospace, Ford Aerospace, CSC, and Lockheed Martin. John retired from Lockheed Martin at the age of 62.

He spent the rest of his life with his beloved Marion.  He loved his children, John Stephen Pandolph, Rose Marie Pandolph Sauser, Neal David Pandolph and wife Gloria, William Joseph Pandolph, and Brian Patrick Pandolph and wife Linda.   His extended family includes 20 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his father Joseph Pandolph, mother Wanda Pandolph, brother James Pandolph, and great grandson Christopher Bunch.

John’s family will receive visitors on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 from 5:00-8:00pm with a vigil starting at 7pm at Crowder Funeral Home in League City, 1645 East Main Street, League City, Texas 77573
A Catholic Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 10:00am at St Mary Catholic Church, 1612 East Walker, League City, Texas 77573 with internment at Mt. Olivet immediately following.

  1. My sincere condolences, much Love and many prayers for all of Mr. Pandolph’s family members. For so many years Mr. & Mrs. Pandolph shared in all of the birthday & holiday celebrations for their grandkids and great grandchildren. Their presence made the celebrations even more special. God bless and May you Rest In Peace while we complete our tasks here on Earth. Heaven is a family reunion, and we’ll join you when our work is done here. RIP 🙏❤️🙏
