Alex Gill
Alex Gill, 88, resident of Alvin, Texas passed from this life, at May 21, 2022 at his home. Alex was born March 23, 1934 to proud and loving parents, Harry Christian and Clara I Gill in Shanghai, China. He was one of four children.
He was owner and operator of Gill Small Engines in Alvin, Texas. Alex has been a resident of Alvin, Texas for 60 years. He was a proud member of the Navy Reserves. Alex met and married the love of his life, Laura K. Hunter and from this union they were blessed with two daughters and one son.
Alex, is preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, John Gill and Patrick Gill.
He leaves behind to cherish a life well lived, his loving wife Laura Gill, daughters, Cynthia “Cindy”Stewart and husband Alton and Debra Ann Earles and husband Larry; son, Alex “Butch” H. Gill and Daena; sister, Vickie Miller; twelve grandchildren: Angela (Chuck), April, Andrea (Jose), Amy (Doug), Michelle (Mike), Alex, Daniel (Carrie), Nathan (Danielle), Aaron (Justine), Natalie (Matthew), Michael (Kimberly) and Ashleigh; sixteen great-grandchildren as well as numerous friends and extended family.
In his honor a visitation will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2022 from 10:00am to 11:00 am with a funeral service at 11:00am at Crowder Funeral Home Chapel, Dickinson, Texas, interment following at The Confederate Cemetery in Alvin, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Lung Association.

We are so grateful that he was part of our family. Alex will be missed but his memory remains in our hearts forever.
