Thomas “Tommy” Franklin Hooks, 68, a resident of La Porte, Texas, passed away on April 8, 2022, in Houston, Texas. He was born on April 2, 1954, in Houston, Texas, formerly of Pasadena, Texas. He retired from A.I.G., loved watching sports, NASCAR, and loved to play pool with his buddies.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Odessa Hooks; wife Sandra Hooks; sister Martha Harris and husband Bill; and brother Arrie Hooks.

He leaves behind his stepdaughter Kristie Chatham and husband Randy; stepson Tim Leaty and wife Rhonda, their sons Timothy Leaty and Joseph Maeske; sister Bonnie Schoenbein and husband Thomas, their children Kyle Schoenbein and wife Nikki and their daughter Haidyn, and Paige McInnis and husband Nolan and their son’s Liam and Grayson; Niece LaTricia Hill and husband Brian and her children Travis, Cody and Taylor Grant, and nephew Douglas Spinks; sister-in-law Linda Keehly, her daughter Tiffany Krenzer.

Thomas did not wish to have a memorial service.  The family respectfully requests to have donations made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of any flowers that would be sent.
