Kathy Chvatal, 83 of La Marque passed away Monday, October 20, 2014 in Lafayette, Louisiana. She was born June 4, 1931 in Galveston, Texas. Kathy was a member of St. Mary of The Miraculous Medal Catholic Church of Texas City. She retired as a tea operator with Lipton Tea in Galveston, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Glenard Andrew Chvatal. She is survived by her step-daughters Elaine Glass (Ray) and Glennice Uselton; six grandchildren Patricia Hernandez, Stacy Dawson, Hank Chvatal, Keith Dawson, Martin Lee Uselton Jr., and Stefani McDonald, and eleven great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 11:00am at the Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque with Deacon Joe Hensley officiating.
