Our family was very blessed to know and become friends with Mrs. Ellen. She was such a cheerful and delightful soul! We enjoyed listening to her stories about WWII, her experiences as a soldier in the British Army, and how she watched the Queen Mary being built and then came to America on it. She loved her family and spoke of them often. She enjoyed crocheting, decorating cakes at Reed’s bakery, and teaching children how to make Gingerbread houses and other crafts. She was a sweet friend to my mother. She loved Jesus and wondered what it would be like to sit across from him and talk to him. She has most likely done so already. We will miss her terribly and she will always be remembered in our hearts. Our deepest sympathy to her family.
