As Fish Buddies, we all became fast friends for life. I remember well our around the clock drives from College Station to the East and back, as we were heading home for the holidays, returning to CS, or going home for the summer to work. RIP Aggie classmate and thanks for the memories over the years….
My condolences to Ann and family. I had the opportunity to work with Ron at several different locations while at Fluor Daniel. He was a real professional and always had a great spirit and sense of humor in every situation.

Ron and I worked together at Fluor for over 30 years starting in the early 1980’s. I first met Ron when he returned from an assignment in London to Houston’s FOS office to be the Project Director of the Thailand pipeline project . I was a Project Engineer working as a direct report to Ron . I learned a lot about project management working for him . A few years later we worked together running Fluor’s Upstream business unit . We traveled the world on the pursuit and execution of oil and gas projects . I have fond memories of our travels and working together . My condolences to his family .

Uncle Ronnie gave me so much support, love, and advice during times when I needed it most. Once after my husband passed away and another time when I had been in the hospital for so long back in 2017, and lastly, when my mom passed away, he came to be with my Dad for support. Those memories of love and compassion will stay with me as long as I live. Growing up in Texas and living so closely to him, in addition to my father/hero (his brother Richard), Uncle Ronnie wasn’t just an uncle, but also a role model. Having both of them in my life at such a formative age and even into my more recent years has meant the world to me. I’ll miss Uncle Ronnie’s infectious laugh and jokes that always made me laugh and smile when I seemed to need it the most. I hope you’re at peace and I know that my mom and you are my Guardian Angels. Love you.
Our deepest condolences to Ann and the extended Wolny family. Ron was my first boss, guiding light and mentor from 1970 for over 40 years and I worked on many projects in some 10 countries which Ron led, directed or sponsored from the original FOS office on Hillcroft, to the London, Moscow and Sugar Land offices. Ron was an inspiration to all who worked with him and will be long remembered within Fluor and the industry as an innovator and leader and will be deeply missed. May he rest your in eternal peace.
I worked for and with Ron at Fluor Daniel and was always impressed with his knowledge of the business and exceptional project execution skills. He was a special person and friend. He had a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh. He will be missed. My sincere condolences to Ron’s family.
My dad was a great man from one of the last great generations. I never knew a person with such a profound ability to give the best advice on all occasions of life. He was a loving mentor with a supreme gift of foresight that was matched only by his kindness, patience, and generosity. I was blessed with a safe. loving, and educational upbringing thanks to my dad. I will forever cherish the several childhood memories of us going hunting, fishing, and attending numerous sporting events together, most especially regularly watching the Houston Astros play in the Astrodome. From the two of us going on adventures together exploring remote castles in Wales to sport fishing for peacock bass in the remote jungles of Venezuela, he enriched my life with these and countless other experiences that I will never forget. My dad showed a lifelong and relentless interest in my happiness and well-being and I cannot adequately express my gratitude to him for all the good things he did for me. I was blessed to be able to tell him that I love him just before he passed. I will miss him profoundly.

My deepest condolences to Ann and the Wolny family. I first met Ron in the fall of 1958 in dorm 9 on the forth floor, we roomed next to each other and were members of fighting sq. #9.Ron was a engineering major and often helped others with their math and physics assignments, Ron was the smart one. After A&M our companies took us around the world, some how we would meet in places like San Juan, Puerto Rico, London,Saudi Arabia, and Singapore.Ron enjoyed the travel and was a true trail blazer as he managed Oil and Gas Projects for Fluor Daniel. Some of My fondest memories were at Stan and Mary Francis tailgate parties at Kyle Field with Ron, having a few home brews and both walking to the west side 3rd. deck and cheering for the Aggies. RIP my friend, I will never forget you. the best, Mickey DeHart ”62”
I was so sad to hear about Uncle Ronnie’s passing. I will always remember his mischievous grin and twinkle in his eye whe he called me “a little Scottish traveler” when we visited him in England.
Rest In Peace.. the world has lost a beautiful soul.

I was sad to hear the news of Ron’s passing. We had lost touch in our adult years, but did seem to keep informed of his journeys through my sister Hilda and cousin Cathy.
Many memories of growing up as cousins came flooding back. The New Year’s eve family celebrations, the ice huts in the back yard, the great train set displays in the basement on Seville Dr, trips to Letchworth Park, and so much more. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
I met Ron in 1974 and we worked together at FOS until 1980. We would work together at Fluor on numerous other occasions until 2004. I was even a client of his in 2001. I helped introduce Ron to Gulf of Mexico surf fishing in the late 70s and he loved it as much as me.
He was a mentor to me and I well never forget his guidance. He was a great guy and I am sorry to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family.
