Regis Jerome Wrobleski
REGIS JEROME WROBLESKI

The angels called Regis home to our Lord on December 18th. He was born on March 25th in Pittsburgh, PA and the family lived in Carnegie and St. Louis. At the age of 5, family moved to Texas City for his father’s job as a chemical engineer with Monsanto Co. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jerome C. Wrobleski and Lucille Lewis Wrobleski, grandparents Joseph Walter Wrobleski and Josephine Szerszynski; Walter J. Lewis and Susan Minnis Lewis.
His high school sweetheart was Sally Nagel and they were blessed with a fifty-five year marriage. He is also survived by daughter Sheryl Rozier and husband Joseph; son Gregg Wrobleski; sister Carol Wrobleski Walker and husband Jack; brothers Ron Wrobleski and wife Tesa; J.C. (Jay) Wrobleski and wife Donna; brother-in-law James Nagel and wife Colleen, many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Regis attended Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School, Blocker Junior High and Texas City High School. He graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with dual degrees in Zoology and Pharmacy and was a practicing pharmacist for 42 years. Upon graduation, he was employed by SuperX Drugs in Houston and returned to his home town to purchase Gibson’s Pharmacy in Texas City, later transferring the pharmacy location to Seabrook, Texas. The family moved in 1973 to El Lago, which made for a shorter commute to work. He eventually became owner of Pine Knot Pharmacy until the business was sold to Eckerd Drug Co. He retired in 2010 from Professional Building Pharmacy in Webster, Texas. Regis was a very dedicated pharmacist and worked long hours to service those in need. On occasion, he would deliver prescription meds to customers on his way home at night.
Regis’ first love was baseball, starting at age 7, playing through high school and at University of Texas. During his sophomore year, he was drafted to play summer league ball for the Colt 45’s in Brenham. He was skilled in sports, playing 3rd base and enjoyed golf and tennis as well. He liked being outdoors, working in the yard, watching the Longhorns and Astros and traveling after retirement.
Regis was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Nassau Bay and helped with the annual church festivals. He was a member of the Seabrook Optimist Club which sponsored D.A.R.E. Program to teach adolescents how to say no to drugs. He also served as a board member for the El Lago Keys Club.
Travels included cruises to Alaska, Hawaii, Mexican Riviera, Caribbean and Bahamas; Disney World; a Pilgrimage in the Footsteps of St. Paul including Greece, Italy and Turkey; Grand Canyon; Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade; Masters Golf Tournament in Augusta; a brief on-camera audience appearance with Jay Leno and the Tonight Show; trips to Las Vegas and local casinos were always a favorite.

Thank you to Psalm 23 Home for your loving and compassionate care.
Our sincerest condolences to your entire family. Regis was a much loved parishioner at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, devoting so much of his time to the festival and serving on the Parish Council, a devoted humble servant, quietly serving among us as a shining light. Praying for your family and for the happy repose of Regis’ soul – he will be missed.
Our sincere thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. We will remember Regis from our many trips to one of his pharmacy’s and his knowledge of what we were taking! We too remember the Footprints of St. Paul trip and all the fun and happenings during the time. We will miss seeing his smiling self at church but know that he is comfortable and still smiling. Although we will not be in town for the service our thoughts will be with you on that day.

Sally, I just learned of Regis passing. I know how life had become a struggle for him. He was always such a gentle and quiet man.
You two were always together like Bob and I, but comes a time when we can no longer wish them to stay with us because they are suffering so. Regis will not be forgotten. My God be with you during this time of grief.
Regis was a wonderful cheerful friend to all who knew him. We became friends as a result of our El Lago Keys Club membership. Part of that was tennis which was humiliating for me because he was one of our best players. He also was one of the club’s strongest supporters. And part of that was to be vigilant over the proper use of the tennis courts.
And I remember how kind and diligent he was when I asked medical questions
Sally. we are very sorry and please let us know if Susan or I can help with anything.
Our sincere thoughts and prayers are with Sally and the Wrobleski family. Regis will truly be missed. Regis was the one who recruited me to play in the El Lago Men’s Tennis League when we first moved to the neighborhood almost twenty years ago. He was such a nice guy and friendly neighbor. Always willing to give advise on how to be a better tennis player and a better person. God speed my friend.
Sally and family,
Everyone at Professional Building Pharmacy sends their sympathies and prayers to you and your family. It was a joy working with Regis at the pharmacy. All the customers loved and respected Regis for his caring attitude.
We often talked about the Texas Longhorn football team and about our time at UT pharmacy school.
It was such a joy for Marilynn and I to be able to visit with Regis last Wednesday.
To see Regis respond to all my pharmacy stories was very refreshing.
Regis, we will miss you but know you are in a better place.
I met Regis when I was just a little girl and he was doing his D.A.R.E. activities. It’s funny how people make an impression on you so young because when it was discovered we attended the same church, the friendship between our families blossomed. Regis was always warm, friendly and supportive. He and Sally watched me “grow up” at Saint Paul. We love you all and I am sending my most heartfelt condolences from Nashville.
Regis was a good friend of mine. He played third base on our high school baseball and was outstanding. I never heard Regis say anything negative about anyone. He was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. When I think of Regis it brings a smile to my face. I’m smiling now.
Regis will be missed by all that had the
Pleasure of knowing him . Great Husband
Great Father Great Friend . But most of all
True Man of God . He’s looking down right
Now from Heaven with that Big Smile
And kind Heart he always had .
Sally – I have just returned from a church service and my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. We can only thank our blessing of having Regis as a part of our lives for the past years. Our sorrow is that he will not be with us in the future. He will be missed greatly but what a wonderful life you enjoyed. Rejoice in our blessings and memories that will always be with us.
Lyn and I will attend the service on Tuesday.
My condolences to the whole Wrobleski family. I always loved your dad, Sheryl, and I have fond memories of him at all our softball games, band events, and church. May he rest in peace.
I moved to Houston about 40 years ago and bought a house in El Lago a few streets from Reg and Sally’s which was just across from the tennis courts. I joined a mens tennis league and that’s how I met Reg and several other life time friends. We had group dinners with our wives , played tennis, golf and just chatted. Reg was the perfect friend as he was always available to help out. I moved to Montana 7 years ago but we still maintained our friendship . When we talked he was always interested in how I was doing and all about my family before talking about himself.
I believe you only have a few really good friends in your lifetime and Reg was one of those.
I will always miss chatting with him on the front yard! For many years! May the love of God be with you, embrace you during this time of sorrow! Am sure he is now conversing with the angels and asking them if he can do something to help with!!. You are in my prayers!
Dear Sally and family,
We send our deepest condolences and
prayers for comfort as you go through this period of
grief and mourning. I always enjoyed talking with Regis.
I always liked seeing his smile which brought light to my heart.
In heartfelt sympathy,
Lorelee and family
The world needs more people who leave things a little better than they found them. Regis was such a man; always helping others with compassion and kindness. I knew this couple since high school and worked in the clinic next door to their pharmacy.
Sincere sympathy sally to you and your family. He will truly be missed.

Charlie is not feeling well which prevents our coming to see you. We love you. We will talk soon.
i am so sorry to hear of his passing. I just found the notice tonight on my email. I was always very happy when I had the opportunity to greet his smiling face. I first met you’ll at the Seabrook pharmacy and was disappointed when he sold out to CVS. He had no time to visit with his customers. I was pleased when I ran into him at the Webster location and visited with him several times there.
I was ever so happy to see him at the polling location as he always wore that broad smile when many had lost theirs. A wonderful human being and i enjoyed reading about his life.
May the Good Lord be with you both always and I look forward to seeing him again.
