Stephen Wayne Vaughn, Jr.
Stephen Wayne Vaughn, Jr., aged 33, passed on to his eternal home to be in the presence of Jesus on December 10, 2021 in Houston, Texas. A graduate of Alvin High school, Stephen went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps. Among many meritorious awards, Stephen received the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and other distinguished honors in service to his country.
Stephen was talented in many areas. Despite being a disabled veteran suffering with PTSD, he found pleasure in the service industry. He had an amazing ability to easily talk to strangers and make them feel comfortable. He developed a passion for the culinary arts and would regularly attend college classes for culinary and other interest. In recent years, he developed an interest in growing his own vegetables and had a modest garden.
Stephen is survived by his daughter Ramona, his daughter Marlie and her mother Ashley. His mother, Holli and husband Chris. His father Stephen Sr. and wife Michelle. His sisters, Samantha, Amanda, Courtney, Stephanie and Sierra and his brothers, Damien, Brandin, Cody and Colby and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, uncles, and aunts.
There will be a visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Community Baptist Church, 6114 5th St. Danbury, TX 77534. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, with Pastor Stephen Vaughn, Sr., Pastor Del Toler and Pastor David Smith officiating. Burial will follow the service at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Marine Corps.
Huckle Bearers will be: Damien Fajardo, Brandin Vaughn, Cody Hernandez, Ian Primer, Aaron Bobb, Daniel Rowinsky, Ethan Beck, Scott Britton. Honorary Huckle Bearers will be:Justin Vaughn, Rick Cagnolatti, Colby Muehe, Merritt Edge.
