Thomas Ray Wilbanks
Thomas Ray Wilbanks, 33, passed away Monday, September 29, 2014. He was born in Webster, Texas on April 13, 1981.
He graduated Valedictorian from The Academy of Clear Lake in 1999.
He subsequently joined the Navy and served his country honorably for over 7 years. He ended his Naval Career as a recruiter in the Houston area.
Tom trained as an IT Specialist and was presently working on completing additional certification. He had a great hunger and thirst for knowledge. He said “a wise man learns something new every day”.
He leaves behind a wife, Connie of Houston, TX.; parents Don and Margo of League City, TX.; sisters Sonja Milette and Tina Amsler of Seattle, WA.; Grandfather, Lynn D. Mutchler of Ferguson, MO.; nieces Kaitlynn and Faith; and nephews James, Tyler, Raiden, Gavin, Britton, and William; great nephew Dakota.
Visitation will be from 5 – 8 P.M. Thursday, October 2nd at Crowder Funeral Home, 111 E. Medical Center Blvd., Webster, TX. Burial will be Friday at 11:15 A.M. at V. A. Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Tom’s memory to League City Animal Shelter, ASPCA or Wounded Warriors.
