Jimmie Sireno
James “Jimmie” Anthony Sireno, 88, of Texas City, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014, in Texas City. Jimmie was born January 3, 1926, to John and Angelina Sireno. He was a Pearl Harbor Survivor and fought on Iwo Jima. Jimmy was veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving in World War II and received two Purple Hearts. He was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church for 51 years. He was a Rail Road Conductor, working with Santa Fe Railroad for 45 years. Jimmie was a dedicated family man. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Connie Sireno Frank, one brother Jackie Sireno. Jimmie is survived by his wife of sixty one years, Ruby Sireno; one daughter: Susan Sireno and fiancé Melville Bousley III, of League City; one son: David Frank and wife Ann; one sister: Marie Loudon of Fort Worth; one brother: Joe Sireno and wife Cleta of Texas City: one grandson: Ryan Frank and wife Andrea; two great Grandchild: Arden Frank and James Frank: and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. through 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 29, 2014, at James Crowder Funeral Home LaMarque, a rosary by Sister Carmel O’Malley will be recited at 6:30 pm. Services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, with Father Chacko Puthumayil officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery, in Hitchcock. Pallbearers will include Melville Bousley III, David Frank, Ryan Frank, Earl Dudley, Clinton Hysmith and Joe Sireno. Honorary pallbearer will be Charles Ray Hysmith.
