Rebecca (Becky) Sue Cuevas
Rebecca (Becky) Sue Cuevas, 79, after a long, loving, wonderful and fulfilled wonderful life passed away into God’s loving arms on September 30, 2021 in Friendswood, TX. She was born on April 28, 1942 in Port Arthur, TX to Kenneth and Elsie Latimer. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Patricia. The family Becky leaves will cherish her memory forever: husband, Fredrick “Fred” D. Cuevas; son, Chad Selman; including numerous family members and friends.
She earned a B.A. from Lamar University. Becky worked as an Elementary School Teacher at Lavace Stewart Elementary in Kemah, TX, and retired from Macy’s as a cosmetic sales associate. She had a passion for gardening and animals. She loved God and believed in eternal life.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 2:30 PM at Seaside Memorial Park Corpus Christi, TX.
Mrs. Becky was a longtime customer of our Friendswood Walmart Pharmacy. She was always friendly, patient and kind. I loved talking to her. We had so much in common that I would sometimes call her “sister.” She will definitely be missed by us all.
I love this picture of Aunt Becky. I will always remember her love for the ocean and walking the Galveston Seawall. She was such a beautiful lady.
