On Wednesday, September 29^th, 2021, Frederick Sutton Towery, loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 69 near his home in Houston, Texas. He is survived by his wife Mary Lou, his daughter and son-in-law, Erin and Nicholas, his son and daughter-in-law, Sutton and Ashley, his brother David and fiancé Shelley, his brother-in-law Gus and wife Holly, his niece Candace and husband Eric, his nephew Augustus, and several close cousins.

Fred was born in Charleston, West Virginia to Charles and Ruth Towery. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a double major in history and sociology. Early on in his career, he developed a strong passion for information technology. He earned a plethora of professional certifications, and his loved ones affectionately referred to him as a computer wizard and a server guru. He spent the final chapter of his career in his dream jobs as a server expert at an aerospace company and a part-time adjunct professor at San Jacinto College.

Fred was a lifetime learner and genuinely curious about the world. He would often stay up late at night reading and watching documentaries. His book collection spanned a wide variety of subjects, from world religions and Ninjutsu to Texas Rangers and the theory of interest. He especially loved history. Even after reading extensively about a historical event, he would frequently make trips to historical sites to conduct his own research with his magnifying glass and his investigative notepad. His family now takes solace in knowing that he finally knows who assassinated JFK.

Throughout his life, Fred was known for his kind, gentle spirit. A smile and a big hug from Fred would make even the worst of days seem brighter. Above all else, he loved his family. His Baber, his Princess, his Bear, and his cats love and miss him very much, but are grateful that he is watching over them from above.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, October 5^th, 2021, at Crowder Funeral Home in Webster, Texas.
