  2. I had the privilege of purchasing furniture from Larry at Layzboy for many, many years. I always enjoyed our conversations. He was the sweetest, kindest man. He truly loved the Lord, loved the church and loved singing in the choir. He would always stop whatever he was doing and make time to just sit in one of the chairs or on a sofa and visit. He truly cared about people and he had a way of making you feel like you were very important to him. He was a great listener and I always looked forward to getting to visit with him. He will be greatly missed by me and I know by many others. He is with his Savior and Lord who he served and loved so much.

  5. We are heartbroken to hear about Larry. He was a terrific friend of our family during our young married years. We have wonderful memories of a dear friend that we met at church who hosted us for regular canasta parties while our young children played together. We remember how he loved his family and never met a stranger. We pray for peace and comfort for Kara, Kalyn, Sarah, and James. You were so fortunate to have such a loving father.

Larry was greater than a friend to so many of his peers, employees and associate by modeling the contentment and humility of Christ the Messiah.

My life is more enriched by having the ability to call him my friend.

I’ll see you on the other side.

  16. Duane and I are still in disbelief that Larry is not with us. There will never be another Larry Rogers. I met him in 1998 when I went to work for Lazboy. I had the opportunity to work with him in his store from 2008 to 2013 and was so happy when He and Diane married. We will.miss him and know that when we see his children we will feel as if we r with Larry again.
