Ed was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a very talented musician who taught his children and grandchildren a love for music. He loved and looked forward to spending time with his grandchildren taking them on adventures such as fishing, the car races and the Astros baseball games.
Ed loved his New Hope Church family and with his wife Karen led the church band as he himself played the bass guitar at every Sunday morning service. He thoroughly enjoyed his duties as the sound director for the church and made sure everyone behind a mic sounded great.
Ed was cremated by Crowder Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held and announced at a later date with time.

Hey Ed,
Brother I miss you. Thank you for being a friend and help when we lived in the area and bought cars at a couple of dealerships you worked at. You were always so open and honest in helping us get the best deal. Then when we would talk at church, you did have the joy of the Lord and it rubbed off onto others. What a wonderful surprise to be in the hospital and pass on to Gloryland! Death ain’t got no power over you, thanks to Jesus! (That’s the Ned Flanders/Sunday School teacher coming out in me!) I hope you laughed as much as me, when Karen told me about my resemblance to Ned! I didn’t know of him until then. I loved teaching Nigel and Nathan and our adventures at Lake Texoma camp. And then Karen, always being real. What a family! Y’all blessed me! Ask Jesus to flood her with his peace and love. Enjoy yourself up there until we come.👆❤️
Ed, I remember you from when we first met at McDavid Honda many years ago. You were one of the good guys and I always thought very highly of you.
So sorry for your friends and family but you are now in the arms of Jesus. See you in a while and we can catch up.
