Lori Ann Miller
Lori Ann Miller passed away on August 23, 2021, in Houston Texas at the age of 54. Lori was born on March 29, 1967, in Denver, Colorado. Her parents were Donna and Frank Paproski. Lori was the youngest of 6 children. Her entire childhood, Lori was doted on by her older siblings. She was a darling, sweet child; affectionately nicknamed “Twiggy” by her father.
Early in her childhood, she enjoyed swimming, playing the piano, and singing every chance she could. She took up the violin in junior high school and joined the orchestra while in high school. Her siblings and her parents took turns taking her to her many musical lessons and concerts. She absolutely loved the symphony, a passion she shared with her mother. Her family was so proud of her.
Lori received a music scholarship from the University of Tulsa from where she graduated. She briefly taught music in an elementary school after graduation. For a few years she toured the country with a country band, playing the keyboard, the fiddle, and vocals. Lori had a beautiful voice, everyone loved to hear her sing.
She eventually settled in Texas and put her music away for a while. She was a manager at the fine jewelry counter at Macy’s for several years which eventually led to her becoming a store manager for Zales Jewelry.
Lori met the love of her life, Norm at a show he was playing with his band. They dated, fell in love, and married a few years later, on March 25, 2017. Thanks to Norm, Lori picked up her love of music again and joined the band that Norm was a member of, Mechanix, playing the keyboard and female vocals. She also taught piano to several students. She loved performing and sharing their love of music together. They had three adorable dachshunds who brought joy to them every day.
Lori and Norm shared a strong passion for God, giving Him thanks and praise every day.
Lori will be remembered as a loving aunt, sibling, and a kind, strong, caring, hilarious, faithful, trustworthy, considerate, talented, loving, Christian woman. She loved her husband, Norm to no end; they were like one.
Lori was preceded in death by her loving husband, Norm, her parents, Donna and Frank and her sister Christy. She is survived by her brothers Joe (Janet), Albert (Christine), her sisters Julie (Ellis Prach), Anita (Gerald Foos), half-sisters Robin Sathers and Mindi Gulizia, half-brothers Chris Veik, Shane Veik and Thaddeus Bruno. Sisters-in-law, Gina (Don) and Bettina, stepdaughters, Jenn and Sherri, nieces and nephews and their children.
On September, 20, 2021 the Families of Norman and Lori will greet guests from 10 am to 11 am followed by a Memorial Service for both Norman and Lori at 11am at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 18220 Upper Bay Rd., Nassau Bay, TX 77058
Our sympathies on her passing. May she Rest In Peace ☮️
May God be at your side at this sad time.
May the Angels left Norm and Lori into Heaven.
They will be in the hearts forever.
With all my Love.
I am friends with Chelsea. I have been following Lori & Norms recent battles through her Facebook posts. I’m very sad for not just my friend, but the whole family. Through Chelsea’s posts, I can see Lori was very loved, very talented and very important to many people! I am very sad for your loss. I will continue praying for the whole family.
Lori was one of my best friends and I will miss her more than words can say! We shared many great times together. Before she met Norm we would go to rodeos and BBQ cookoffs, ride my horses on the beach, listen to bands, watch movies, or have drinks by a fire. We were together the night she met Norm, and he stole her heart fast! Their wedding was what fairy tales are made of and I know she was truly happy to have finally found the man of her dreams. After that, we would double date and go to concerts, or we would go listen to them play in the Mechanix band. We never let a birthday slip by without catching up, even if it was late. Lori was a rare find in a friend because she genuinely cared. She spoke affectionately about her sister Julie, Norm, and his girls often. Although my heart truly aches that she is gone, I am thankful knowing she is with God and Norm in heaven, made whole again and no longer suffering. May God be with all of her family and friends!
My heart is breaking for all of Lori’s family!
She w@s a very talented girl from the time she was little, but also carried a little mischievous little smile.
The time I remember the most, was when we were in Joe’s and Jan’s big barn. Uncle Frank (her dad), begged her to sang “Daddy’s Hands “, there was not a dry eye in the house.
God understood, that you and Norm needed to be together. May you both sing with the Angles, and the reunion with all your family!
May God also Bless all her family! Love and prayers!
To all of Lori’s family. My heart aches for you all during this difficult time. Sending thoughts and prayers to you all for comfort. Love you all!!!
Although Lori and I eventually took our separate paths in life, she always has been, and always will be, sorely missed. Her and I traveled the country together, doing life, playing music and entertaining many people for many years. Every moment was filled with cherished memories, great experiences and greater friendship. We had our ups and downs, but I’ve always loved her dearly. It was a joy to play music with her, and performing across the U.S. together as Double Eclipse is forever etched in my mind as some of the greatest adventures in my life. Her and her husband’s passing is very sad and tragically unexpected news, and it’s with a very heavy heart that I’m at a loss for words. Heaven has gained a beautiful musician and a beautiful person. For her family and friends, I’m deeply sorry for your loss, and my prayers for y’all will surely fill the Lords ears.
In Christ, and with love always,
Michael
