Martha J. Latimer
Martha J. Latimer, age 87 passed away September 7, 2014 at Gulf Healthcare Center in Texas City, Texas. She was born April 9, 1927 in Center, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Leon Latimer. She is survived by two children David Latimer and wife Eileen of Bacliff, Texas and Linda Birdwell of Texas City, Texas; two grandchildren Carrie Madden and husband Paul of Texas City, Texas and Lisa Kocourek and husband John of Texas City; and two great grandchildren Chloe Kocourek and Ian Kocourek.
Funeral Service will be on Thursday, September 11, 2014 from 10:00am-11:00am at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque. Burial will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas.
I’m so sorry I can’t attend the services. She will always have a special place in my heart. Best wishes Linda and David.
I’m so sorry to hear about Ms. Martha – she was such a sweet lady. I remember seeing her so many times when she worked for Dr. Tree & Hook and she was such a sweetheart. I will keep the family in my thoughts & prayers.

We are so sorry to hear of Martha’s death. I worked many years with her and
had such a solid friendship. Our boys, Don, Allan and Steven had some great
times when we all went to the lake and camped and fished. We have some
wonderful memories of our time together.
Remember, David and Linda– your Mother is not alone and neither are you.

Martha Jean was a good friend of the Hughes family. Travis and Evelyn Hughes and their family send their love and prayers to the family. Martha Jean came in every summer to Simmie’s house and they enjoyed visiting with folks in Campti that she grew up with. I am so glad that I went to see her on Mother’s Day. I felt so compelled to go by and tell her how much I love her and her sweet family. We recently found pictures of Carrie, Lisa, Martha Jean and Leon at the Hughes camp on Toledo Bend.
