Yolanda was 75 years young when she passed away unexpectedly. She surrendered her shiny gold heart to the heavens where everlasting peace and tranquility are the rewards for a life lived with kindness.
Yolanda was born in Waukegan, Illinois, to Ramon Moreno and Maria Montencino. She grew up in a busy household, where she shared many memories with seven of her siblings.
It was the Windy City
of Chicago, where she met Paul Robles, and they married in 1963. Years later they made their way to Texas where they found a home and eventually settled in the quiet community of Pearland. Yolanda was a loving and supportive wife to her husband, Paul, and a devoted mother to her two sons: Pete and the late, Paul David.
As a highly organized individual, Yolanda pursued a career in accounting, it was where she excelled and made many lasting friends before retirement.
Gifted in so many areas, Yolanda created a loving home for her family, she was always available, compassionate, and generous with her time. Some of her favorite hobbies were crossword puzzles and mending or creating beautiful garments with her sewing machine. She was one of those people who always had a pleasing smile and a warm embrace that made friends and family feel welcomed.
Yolanda is survived by her husband, Paul, her son, Pete Robles, her sisters, Anita Garcia, Margaret Martinez, and her brother David Moreno.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ramon Moreno and Maria Montencino, five of her siblings, and her son, Paul David Robles.
“Yolanda will be greatly missed and now that she’s with her beloved son, Paul David; our remaining days will be spent in remembrance; knowing they’re together; and until we all meet again.”

I was very young as a kid when you lived across the street at 8734 S Marquette..you had a house and owned the building me and my mom and grandma lived in at that time. And both buildings are still there and new occupants took very good care of them each …google it yourself to see it …still remember all of tia virgina kids and me and cousin lisa (yolanda daughter) with both your sons all together for 4th of july snapshot in summer… Be at rest Tia Yolanda
Rest in peace sweet lady. Our deepest sympathy goes out to Paul and Peter. You were one of the most thoughtful neighbors and you will be souly missed. I feel you are at peace now that you are with Paul David.
Yolanda was a sweetheart to me. I was her ZUMBA Gold teacher at the YMCA. She loved to dance and was my front and center participant. She hated when I had subs. Her hips don’t lie. 💕 Great memories I have of her. My condolences to her family.
