Jerome Walter Kalk
Jerome Walter Kalk was born to the late Philip Kalk and Eleanor Herwig on July 19, 1931 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. He passed away on April 29, 2021 at his son’s home in Titusville, Florida. Jerome was in the United States Air Force for four years during the Korean War. During the course of his career, he worked 35 plus years as a quality engineer for Aerospace/NASA in Houston Texas. His career spanned the NASA Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, and Space Shuttle programs. His favorite past time was fishing at the lake house at Lake Livingston, Texas. He also enjoyed gardening and growing vegetables. He resided in Texas for 44 years in League City and the family will return to his hometown to do a Memorial Service on May 29th 2021 at the Crowder Funeral Home located in League City.
Jerome is survived by his son, Michael Kalk (Sharon); Step Daughter, Barbra Caliva (Anthony); Grandchildren, Crystal Schulken (Austin), Kayla Kalk; and Michelle Parker, Sister, Betty Grube; Son-in-law, Mark Schmidt (Marianne). He is preceded in death by his wife, Trudy Kalk, his Step Daughter, Lynn Schmidt and his grandchild Kim Parker.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for 10am Saturday, May 29nd at Crowder Funeral Home, 1645 East Main Street, League City, Texas 77573.
