Jesus Pacheco Garza
Jesus Pacheco Garza, 76, a Santa Fe resident of 33 years, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at his home April 16, 2021. Jesus was born September 15, 1944 to Josefina and Miguel Garza in Mexico City, Mexico. He was an active Guadalupano and loyal member of St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal in Texas City. Jesus was a loving, caring, admirable, full of humor, and the hardest working man that his family has known. His love for being at home, gardening and taking care of his fruit trees, cooking carne asada, but more than anything loved being in the company of all his loving family especially with his grandchildren. He was full of humor, loved telling jokes, and admired Pedro Infante and the Houston Astros. He was the pillar of not only the immediate family, but a pillar for the entire Rodriguez family. He retired as a heavy equipment mechanic for 54 years, and after retirement Jesus devoted his time living his life being with his family as much as he could.
Jesus was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Maria DeRosario, and his brother Carlos Garza
Jesus is survived by two brothers and three sisters.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 40 years Gabriela Libertad Garza; daughter Gabriela Nunez and husband Gabriel; Sons Jesus Garza and wife Jennifer, Juan Carlos Garza and wife Barbara, Emilio Garza and wife Rosita, Erik Garza, and Jesus Garza, Jr.; Ten Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren.
A visitation in his honor will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 PM, Wednesday, April 21, 2021 with a rosary at 6:30 PM, at Crowder Funeral Home Chapel, Dickinson, TX. Mass will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, April 22, 2021 at St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church, Texas City, TX. Father Clint Ressler, officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park, Hitchcock.
