Valerie Roxanne Corbeille

Valerie Roxanne Corbeille, age 68, passed away on March 25, 2021 surrounded by family in Webster, Texas.  Valerie was born on February 7, 1953 in Wichita, Kansas to J. Robert Green and Mary Joan “Jo” (Pontius) Clark.

Valerie had a passion for her family and friends. Her world revolved around her beloved husband, children, and grandchildren.  She was always the most animated when talking to her grandchildren and would drop everything to spend time with them even if it was a quick video chat before bed.  She loved with her whole heart and this was evident to everyone who knew her.  She made friends wherever she went and had many close friendships that spanned for more than 20 years.

She was incredibly creative and loved to make jewelry, sew, cook, decorate, draw, color, and make crafts.  She spent several years as a preschool teacher and enjoyed every minute.  More recently, she worked in the church nursery on Sunday mornings.

She struggled with many health problems throughout her life, but she always stayed positive and never lost her faith in God. Upon learning of her passing, her grandson, Thomas (age 6) said, “She must be walking on gold in heaven”.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J. Robert Green and Mary Joan “Jo” (Pontius) Clark and her brothers Lance Green and Christopher Green.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Corbeille; her daughters Kaitlin Corbeille-Fenner (Chase Fenner) and Jillian Corbeille; her step-children Jeremy Corbeille (Lisette) and Rebecca Corbeille-Jackman (Barry Jackman); her siblings Michael Green (Jeanine), Danielle Spain, and Heather McLoughlin (William); her grandchildren Ashlynn, Tyler, Carter, Miyah, Blake, Thomas, & Nolan; and many other family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held this summer at St. Christopher Church in League City, Texas.  The date will be announced in the future.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Valerie’s honor to the American Diabetes Association.

  1. Ron, Kaitlin and Jillian, and all the family and friends touched by this passing. I met Valerie on 2 occasions and each time was aware of how much her family meant to her. I can only suggest you remember the guidance she provided and be grateful to have had her in your lives. When you have her memorial, remember to have a wonderful time because she would have been the happiest person there.
