Maria Angela Rivas, 77, of Alvin, Texas passed away on March 9, 2021 in Webster, Texas. Maria was born on June 1, 1943 in Poteet, Texas to loving parents Lorenzo Brown and Martina Camarillo. She will be greatly missed by her family who adored her.

Maria is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jose G. Rivas, Sr., brother Henry Brown, sister Celestina Brown, brother Santana Brown, and sister Lupita Brown. She is survived by her daughters Sara Santana Rivas, Sylvia Huerta, Janie Rivas, Vicenta Rodriguez, Tina Rashid, and Christina Correa, sons Joe Rivas, Jr., Jesse Rivas, and David Hem, 38 grandchildren, and 76 great-grandchildren.

A service for Maria will be held Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas.
