Kerry Wayne Stephens
Kerry Wayne Stephens of Stafford, Tx, passed away at age 59, having lived a life that would have sent a lesser man to his grave years ago. Many called him friend but to his family he was Papa Kerry. He left behind his mom, dad, son and daughter, along with 4 beautiful granddaughters and a grandson on the way. He told his last joke, which cannot be printed here, on February 9th, 2021. Kerry took fashion cues from no one. His signature look was a plain pocket t-shirt, blue jeans and a ball cap. He spent most of his days working as an electrician and was a master in his craft. Throughout his career he worked numerous jobs but was most proud of his work on the Pappa’s Restaurants and the Moody Gardens Aquarium in Galveston, Texas. You could catch him with a Budweiser and Marlboro in his hands on most days. He loved a good game of dominos and was a great match at the pool table. He knew his way around the kitchen and could catch a fish at low tide. For all of his chaotic energy and hysterical charm, he had a gentle soul. He loved telling stories and helping others. In lieu of flowers, he wouldn’t want any, have a beer to remember him and pay your neighbor’s bar tab.
Curtis and Wendy,
You know we have been thinking of you all. We hope, we pray and we wish for the pain to subside as I know he would have wanted. Lots of love to you all. ❤️
