  1. Our prayers are with Linda and family. We were fortunate to have Dave as our next door neighbor for over 20 years. He always greeted us with a smile, was humble, and exhibited a warm and caring personality. It was a joy to see him through our kitchen window playing with his grandchildren. It gave an outward expression of the love he had for his family. We will truly miss him.

  7. Dear Linda and family,
I was very sorry to hear about David’s passing and I offer you my sincere condolences. David and his family have been beloved members of the St. Mary faith community for as long as I can remember. He was very active in both liturgical and community service in the parish. He was an honorable and distinguished justice for the State of Texas. I admired him greatly. I will not attend his funeral services to permit others to attend, but I will be with you in spirit. I am sure God has rewarded him for his faithful service when he was with us.

  19. 32 years ago I had the privilege of coaching Daniel in his first year of baseball in League City Little League. It was at that same time I met David. Watching him with those 6 & 7 year old boys was an amazing site. Here was this large man who would be on his knees pitching to these young men and coaching them with this soft calming voice. He was always so kind to everyone and a shining example to all the other coaches and fathers. Over the years, we watched our children grow but there was always baseball that tied us together. David was always there. When there was a work day he was first to step up. No matter where the game was or how bad the weather was, he was there. I have always felt so honored that I had the opportunity to spend so much time with David. What an amazing example he was to all he touched. Linda, Jason, Shannon, and Daniel, I know you are heartbroken right now but always remember all of the great things and the legacy he leaves. Our love and prayers go out to all of you. Love to all.
