Mary Helen Galvan
Mary Helen Galvan, a resident of Pearland, TX, passed away at home on December 25, 2020. Mary was born on June 26, 1947, in Alvin, TX to Juan Maturey and Cruz Gonzales. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, and an incredibly proud grandmother and great grandmother.
Helen spent 40 years working at Windsong Village. As a certified nursing assistant, she dedicated her life to helping others. She enjoyed making her patients feel and look great for any special event at the facility or in the patient’s life.
Helen was also dedicated to her family. If anyone needed her, she was there for them. Her grandchildren were the center of her universe, and she had a fierce loyalty to them.
Helen was known for her sense of humor and infectious laughter. She made so many people smile and laugh, those are the memories she would want everyone to remember.
Mary Helen reunites with her husband, Reynaldo Galvan, Sr.; son, Benjamin Galvan; parents; sisters, Josephine Chapa and Patricia Sisneros.
She leaves behind her daughters, Maria Lopez and Roxanne Murillo, husband Francisco; her son, Reynaldo Galvan, Jr., wife Esperanza; sisters: Cruz Rodriguez and Martha Schatz; brother Domingo Maturey wife Angelina; grandchildren: Victoria Lopez, Isaac Lopez, Jesse Lopez, Jr, Frank Galvan, Benjamin Galvan, Victor Galvan, Vivian Galvan, Dylan Corona, Houston Corona, Skylynn Corona, Ariel Amor Murillo; and great grandchild, Isaac James Lopez, Jr.
A visitation will be held Friday, January 1, 2020, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the chapel of Crowder Funeral Home in Pearland. The service will be held on January 2, 2020, at 10:00 am at Crowder Funeral Home Chapel Pearland. Graveside to follow at South Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Isaac Lopez, Isaac James Lopez, Jr., Jesse Lopez, Jr., Frank Galvan, Benjamin Galvan, Victor Galvan, Dylan Corona, and Houston Corona.
