Patrick Anthony Connor
Patrick Anthony Connor of Santa Fe, Texas went home December 22, 2020 at the age of 57. He was born January 16, 1963 in Austin, Texas to John and Diane Connor.
He grew up in Pasadena, Texas and graduated from Sam Rayburn High School in 1981. Even after high school, he remained close friends with many of his former classmates. He worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for over 30 years. Most of his career was spent working at the Darrington Unit in Rosharon, Texas. He also worked at the Wayne Scott and Clemons unit. It was during this time that he became known as “Big C”. After his retirement, he started building fishing rods as a hobby. This soon became more than a hobby. Pat built beautiful fishing rods and took so much pride in each and every build to make sure it was perfect.
Pat loved being outdoors. Hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends in his shop made him happy. He was known by a few nicknames or titles but the one he loved the most was being called Grandpa. For those who knew him, you know how special he was. He was ruff and tough on the outside but had a heart of gold. He was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.
Pat was preceded in death by his Dad, John Connor. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Connor; Mom, Diane Connor; Sister Janet Kolaski and husband Christopher; Daughter Cheyenne Barham and husband Heath; Son Christopher Connor; Stepson Robbie Sandino and wife Celia; Granddaughter Nayeli Sandino and numerous family and friends.
A memorial service will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday December 31, 2020 at Crowder Funeral Home, 851 FM 517, Dickinson, TX 77539

Grew up on Mulberry with Pat so sorry i lost touch. The Conner family was very kind to me. Rest in Peace Pat! Conner family has my deepest sympathy.
Pat will be dearly missed! Stephen will treasure the many custom rods that Pat made for him and his tournament! Pat has always been one of Stephen’s best supports in all he has done. We loved him dearly!

So sorry to hear this news. I’ve known him since High School / FFA and we always kept in touch. When we were younger there was not a weekend we did don’t hang with each other. For a lot of years if you saw Pat, you saw Roy and Vice versa. I loved him as a person and his no nonsense personality. Never had to worry about what he thought – you knew it, because he would tell you. His family is in our prayers. May he Rest In Peace. 🙏🙏🙏

I prayed daily that my dear friend Pat would return home to his wife, children, grandchildren and his many friends. However, our Lord and Savior had bigger and brighter plans for Pat. Let us rejoice in knowing that Pat is at home in Heaven and will one day welcome us home on that glorious day when we shall meet again. Until that day, know that Pat lived a full life and was loved by all of us that knew him. I am blessed by having known Pat and until we meet again, so long my Brother and I will be in line to greet you once again on that beautiful day.

A person that I have known since he was just out of high school. Met him thru his buddies, Scott Attwpood, Greg Goodrum, Jimmy Hagen, Doug Smith, Thomas Gray, Roy Davis and many more. They used to run the neighbor hood and I got back with him in the 90’s working the Star Security with Pat, Roy, Scott, Milton and many more. Every time we wood see him, he always asked about our son Jarrod and how his schooling was going. Pat, I want you and these guys to know how much you all played a huge part in Jarrod’s, Venita’s and my life. RIP. Bill, Venita, and Jarrod McMane

To Pat’s wife, children and grandbabies, we send our condolences and heartfelt prayers. Pat was in our prayers when he first started his battle in the hospital. We rejoiced with all of you when he started his rebound but at the news of his passing, our hearts broke and hurt for all of you.
I went to high school with Pat and as I read the comments about his rough edges that protected that heart of gold, I couldn’t help but smile. We didn’t always get along, but I saw that heart…and knew that heart of gold was always there.
Prayers for all of you tomorrow and in the days to come. Thankfully we do have a great Comforter that brings His comfort in the most unique ways…and will undoubtedly do so in the coming days.
