Maria M. Segura, 84, of Texas City, former longtime resident of League City, passed away December 20, 2020, at her home.  Maria was born April 6, 1936 to Paula and Gilberto Maldonado in Brownsville, Texas. She was a loyal member of Shrine of the True Cross Catholic Church and will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband Rojerio M. Segura.

Maria leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters Graciela Ballew and husband David, Oralia Gil, Sylvia Cuellar and husband Jorge, Norma Gil and husband Rudy Sr., and Olga Segura; sons Noe Segura and wife Nancy, Aaron Segura and wife Bambi, and Don Segura and wife Sandra; sisters Josefa De La Rosa, Antonia Salazar, Guadalupe Gil, and Albecia Vuittonet; brothers David Maldonado, and Gilberto Maldonado, Jr.; 23 grandchildren; 48 Great-Grandchildren; and 1 Great-Great-Grandchild.

A visitation will be held for Maria on December 22, 2020 at 5:00 PM at Shrine of the True Cross Catholic Church in Dickinson, Texas. A Rosary will follow at 7:00 PM. In her honor a Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM, on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at Shrine of the True Cross Catholic Church, Dickinson.  Interment follows at Forest Park East Cemetery, Webster.

Honored to serve as pall bearers are Jonathan Segura, Jacob Segura, Rudy Gil, Jr., Anthony Gil, Joseph Segura, and Eli Segura.
