David P. Hughes, 74, aka Tophat of the San Jacinto High Rollers Motorcycle Club for 49 years in the Pasadena Chapter passed away Sunday, November 8 in his home in Texas City, Texas.

He is joining his parents James and Clara Hughes of Bacliff, TX, brother Jimmy Hughes of Altus, Arkansas, daughters Paula Koening of Liberty, TX and Cindy E. Wright of San Leon, TX.

He is leaving behind his wife Elizabeth Jeanette Hughes, brother Walter Hughes of Huntsville, TX, son Ronald Goodman and wife Margaret, daughter Laura Mefferd and husband Jeff, daughter Betty Hughes and partner Clifton Quick, and son-in-law Robert Wright, 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

A visitation for David will be held on Thursday, November 12 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Crowder Funeral Home Chapel in Dickinson, Texas. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 13 at 10:00 AM also at Crowder Funeral Home Chapel in Dickinson, Texas. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson, Texas.
