Jo Ann was an exceptional, devoted wife and mother. Jo Ann’s devotion to her family and nurturing character were apparent in her commitment to her children. She devoted her time as a stay-at-home mother when her children were young. She maintained her home with an open door and as a safe space for her loved ones, extended friends, and family. Her nurturing nature also yielded itself to working as a dietary nutritionist and kitchen manager for hospitals and senior citizen facilities for 30 years before retirement.
A close second to her love for family was her love for her animals. She adopted countless dogs, cats, birds, fish, and farm animals. She blended her passion for living things and gardening by building her own koi fish pond. It became one of her favorite retreats. What a beautiful obituary. Joann was one of the most beautiful women I’ve ever known in my life, both inside and out. She was more than just my neighbor, she was family. I’ll always miss her and look forward to one day seeing her again with Father and other loved ones up there.
