Ernesto Salinas, 61, went home to our Lord Saturday, May 16, 2020, at Methodist Hospital.
Born in Sugarland Texas, he lived in the Houston area most of his life. Ernie also known as “Pops” was an avid fisherman, loved to play softball and basketball. His children and grandchildren have the fondest memories of family fishing trips and his work strong ethic. Pops will be dearly missed by his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Agapito and Vicenta Salinas; two sisters, Annie Moreno and Rose Mary Salinas.
Ernesto is survived by his 11 Children: Frances Varnadore, Victoria Ayala, Belinda Garcia, Joe Garza, Frank Garza, Inez Salinas, Gina Cerda, Ernesto Salinas, Mariana Ramirez, Anthony Salinas, and Felicia Salinas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings: Agapita S. Vasquez, Eva Moore, Mary Louise Salinas, Virginia Salinas, Andrew Salinas, Ralph Salinas, and Martin Salinas.
