Mary Henderson
Mary Elizabeth “Libby” Henderson of Timber Cove, Texas passed away peacefully in her family’s home on March 26th, 2020 at the age of 89. Libby was born in Honey Grove, Texas on December 26th, 1930. She married her high school sweetheart an Aggie, and after a varied military career settled with him and her family in the Bay Area during the height of the NASA Gemini-Apollo explorations. For many years her passion was taking care of her family and her home. In her later years she was an Executive Secretary for Friendswood Development and retired after 25 years of service. Libby was an active member of the garden and bridge club. She also was an avid dancer all her life, and enjoyed line-dancing with her friends well into her eighties. For fifty years she loved being a Timber Cove resident. She is survived by her children, son Michael and his wife Claudia, son Mark and his wife Donna, and daughter Marlyse Henderson. She was blessed with 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held this summer in her honor.
