Michael Gary Thompson
Michael Gary Thompson, 50, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2020. He was born on November 20, 1969 in Texas City, Texas to Gary and Janet Thompson.
Michael is preceded in death by his mother, Janet Thompson, his grandparents Alvin & Idola Thompson and Autman “Country” & Virgie Perry.
He is survived by his father Gary W Thompson, wife Stacy Thompson, sons: Cody Booth and Robert Booth, step-son Craig Hamilton and step- daughter Kaliegh Hamilton, grandchildren Haylyn Booth, Shaylee Booth and October Hamilton and many cousins that he was very close to.
Michael grew up in Galveston County, attending Santa Fe school from Kindergarten to 12th grade.
Michael received his electrical degree through the Local 527 and worked on various projects throughout his career. He was most proud of the opportunity and work that he performed on Minute Maid Park. He worked at Marathon in Texas City for many years. For the last 6 years he worked for Covestro in Baytown as an I/E PCT tech.
Michael was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan and a big Houston Astros fan.
Michael loved music and knew so much about it; Rock and Roll, oldies country, and Texas country.
The family will have a memorial gathering at a later time.
Rest in peace dear cousin. We will miss you. Prayers to Uncle Gary and Stacy.
Sorry for the loss Mike was a good worker and a good partner. I did like to work with him. He was a good friend it will be missed.

Michael was a dear friend and never was at a loss for words. We enjoyed many good times talking Rock N Roll music, trivia, and general knowledge. Mike was a very knowledgeable I&E PCT TECH. When he came on board with Covestro, he was quickly regarded as a tech that solved nearly every challenge he encountered. I miss you my Brother, but certainly will never forget you. I will pray fervently for you and your wonderful family. Goodbye sweet friend and I’ll see you on the other side!

Please accept my sympathy on the passing of Michael. I met Michael in 2011 and had the pleasure of working with him for the last several years. I’ll remember Michael as a generous man who loved his family and friends. I was fortunate to know him and will miss him. May God give you all strength, comfort and encouragement.

My heartfelt condolences to Mike’s family. Mike worked in our shop for the pass 6 years as part of the Convestro family. He was a valued member of our team for his work and for just being him. His laugh was infectious and always ready for joke. When working he was professional and through. Would help and/or train as needed. I always valued him as a strong member of our team. His presence with us will be missed, as a co-worker and as a friend with the quick smile. Just keep on picking your guitar up there in heaven, show’m what rock and country sound like!
