SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT (Change of Location):

The Family will receive friends at 10:00am on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 with a Celebration of Life Ceremony at 11:00am at Crowder Funeral Home – WEBSTER LOCATION – 111 East Medical Center Blvd., Webster, Texas 77598.

 

Mike Bunting passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at his residence in Taylor Lake Village, Texas. He was the husband of the late Freeda George Bunting and Father of Mark and Paul Bunting.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Phil and Grace Bunting, plus two brothers;Jimmy and Larry Bunting and a sister Janey Bunting.

He is survived by his sons and daughters in law: Mark and Char Bunting and Paul and Monica Bunting. He is also survived by his loveable grand-daughters, Torri, Sydney and Haley Bunting and his end-life companion, Jean Ward.

Mike Graduated from Jefferson Davis High School in Houston, in the year 1949, and then entered the U. S. Air Force. Shortly after his service, he entered the University of Houston, where he graduated as an Architectural Engineer in 1956. He and Freeda were married for 50 years on June 17, 2006.

Mike was extremely talented in many ways. He spent years in construction and design, giving of himself and his knowledge for friends and loved ones. There were many civic duties, he was devoted to and he was also very well known among his friends and neighbors children for the “Man to entertain at Halloween” and Parties of all kinds. He had the best ideas and was so creative, and will long be remembered as “Everybody’s Dad”!

  1. Mike was an amazing man, he was sweet, very smart and quite witty up until his passing. He loved Jean, and was devoted to his family, friends and neighbors. He was an icon in his tight-knit community of Timber Cove, he will be missed but his memory will live on forever.
