Alicia S. Cavazos

Alicia S. Cavazos of Seagraves, TX went to be with the Lord on February 25, 2020. Alicia was born on November 25, 1935 in Dilley, TX to Isabel and Juanita Garza.  She attended St. Paul’s Catholic Church and retired in from Gaines County in 1997 after 30 years of service. Alicia enjoyed cooking, exercise, yard keeping, family visits, sewing, shopping and her weekly visits to the beauty shop. She loved coffee and spoiling her dog, Lola, with treats and car rides.

Alicia reunites with her sons: Oscar Soto and Ricky Soto; her parents; sisters: Bertha Salinas and Betty Galvan; and brother, Isabel Garza, Jr.

As a beloved mother, grandmother and sister, she leaves behind to cherish her memories her daughters: Anna Lawver and Dora Soto Griffin; sons: George Soto, wife Sara and Robert Soto; sister, Aurora Jeter. Her many grandchildren: Kenneth Jones, Jamie Tobkin, Amy Jones, Amanda Johnson, Matthew Alvarez, Marcus Alvarez, Laurie Levario, Yvonne Soto, Greg Soto, Isabel Soto, Monnie Soto, Liza Soto, Samantha Soto, Veneisa Anzaldua, Christopher Soto and Cedrick Soto. She was blessed with numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 from 4-8 p.m. at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 805 12th St. in Seagraves, TX with a Rosary beginning at 6pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Seagraves, TX. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Matthew Alvarez, Marcus Alvarez, Monnie Soto, Isabel Soto, Victor Levario and Ray Galvan.
