During her tenure at NASA she received many awards most notably the Silver Snoopy Award. She was very proud of her job, her accomplishments and the family of people she worked with.
Liz was very proud of her family all you had to do was ask her. When the family had a chance to get away together Liz loved to go camping looking forward to sitting by a campfire with the kids roasting marshmallows. She also loved driving cross country usually coupled with camping, seeing family and visiting historical places.
Also known as Mom, Mema, Beth and Liz, she is sorely missed. She was an extremely modest, selfless person always ready to give of herself.
Mom – you are my heart, my world an I will miss you so very much!
Liz, I will miss you a lot. I never knew how loving you were until I saw how loving and caring you were with your sister Tina in her last days. What I saw from you was simply amazing and unequaled. Godspeed Elizabeth. God bless you and keep you close.
Liz was one of BEST lifelong friends. For over 30 years, we laughed, cried, dreamed, worried, looked after each other, worked at careers& family, strategized and grew together. I loved Liz dearly & always will. I will love you always Liz. Your friend, Denine
Will always remember sharing an office with Liz early in my career at JSC. I have worked with Liz for 22+ years and she was always working to make sure everything was done right and we always caught up with each others families.
Liz, your presence is missed here in Neuro lab. Holy Spirit please bring comfort in a time of grief.
A beautiful soul is never forgotten. I offer my heartfelt condolences to Rick and family. May Liz’s soul be at peace with our Heavenly Father.
Liz was such a great friend and I learned so much from her by her thoughtful actions for others. I will always remember her fondly and I thank her for making me a better person. I love and miss you, Liz.
Liz was more than special. She helped me see the world differently. After working with Liz for more than 30 years it is going to be difficult; not seeing her at her desk, in the shop or helping collect data from an astronaut subject. Her welcoming smile expressed the joy of life, always awaiting the next adventure.
Liz, you are so greatly missed here at work. I miss seeing you every time I walk past your cubicle with its funny decorations and its army of little space men/aliens on the ledge. You were always such a dependable and calming presence around this place. And you were the BEST guide and mentor during our overlapping pregnancies in 1997/98. You helped me anticipate the joys of motherhood and the ins and outs of working while nursing a baby. I always enjoyed trading updates on the kids as they grew up. I’m so glad for all of the years I have known you, and I hope your family knows how many lives you have touched and brightened along the way (I’m sure they do–you were just that kind of person!).
Liz, Your presence is greatly missed at Bld 21. I worked with you during the Biotechnology Program days at Bld 37 and now at the SK division. You have helped many at work with a smile a can-do attitude. Your team misses you.
Liz,
Your are missed by so many Family and Friends. We hold your presence in our Hearts forever
May God hold you in the palm of His hand
And Angels watch over you..
Gods Speed Liz
I never had the privilege of meeting Elizabeth Fisher, but I worked at JSC with her husband Rick Fisher for 10 years. Rick always smiled when he spoke of his wife, and I could tell that she was the love & light of Rick’s life.
For everyone who knew and loved Elizabeth, please accept my condolences.
