Wilbert “Buddy” H. Blank, Jr.
Wilbert “Buddy” H. Blank, Jr., thirty eight year resident of Santa Fe, Texas, passed away June 22, 2014 in Nassau Bay, Texas. He was born June 29, 1952 in Houston, Texas to parents, Wilbert H. Blank and Edna Blank.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Dickinson, Texas. He retired from LBC-Houston after thirty eight years of service. Buddy was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, traveling, and working in the yard. He took care of his family and would always do the right thing. (WWBBD?)
He is survived by his wife Sharmon Blank; daughters, Tiffini Blank and Michelle Grassmuck and husband Richard; sister, Sandra Fletcher and husband Sonny; brothers, Kenneth Blank and wife Debra, and Ronald Blank; and grandchildren, Michael Anthony and Kirstin Nikole.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Crowder Funeral Home, Dickinson.

I use to spend all my time with. The Blanks as a little girl, I always loved Buddy as my Uncle just like his sister’s were and are my Aunt’s, RIP UNCLE BUDDY LEA ANN DORNHOEFER (Lea Ann Lopez) MARGARET DORNHOEFERS DAUGHTER
I was fortunate enough to work with Buddy for 13 years. As I look back, I realize in all those years, I never heard him complain or say a bad word about anyone. Almost always, he had a smile on his face. Goodness exuded from him. He loved his family trips and was always anxious to share his pictures with co-workers. It was obvious he had the kind of relationship with his wonderful, beautiful wife that all married couples should aspire to.
He will be sorely missed at LBC. My sympathy and prayers go out to the family.
Buddy you were and still are an inspiration to us all! We know you are in Heaven with our Heavenly Father. We look forward to seeing your smiling face, along with PawPaw, Grandma, Linda and Brenda, welcoming us all home!
Thank you, Jesus, for the wonderful years that you gave Buddy to us. Thank you for his Love, Courage, Strength, Integrity and Honor. He will surely be missed!
Give us all the Comfort, Peace, and Joy that can only come from You. Give us courage and drive to carry on from this great loss of our Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle & Friend. AMEN!

In this world it is rare to find a man of Buddy’s caliber; he always did the RIGHT thing and it is hard to think of any task in which he didn’t do or give his very best at or succeed and accomplish. You can’t find a man who basically “had it all”; he was a great family man; had such a great personality that made you happy to be around him. You knew he cared, that he was kind and considerate as a co-worker, even simple things, like sending out Christmas cards, buying donuts for us on weekends, or going around and handing out popsicles to us on hot days. He will sorely be missed because quite frankly they don’t “make” people like him anymore. He was and is a man of high character and I feel honored to have known and worked with him. The question is… what are we going to do without Buddy Blank ?
I made signs for Buddy but he never made it feel like just a job. He was always quick witted and fair. He was someone that you could respect. I will miss him as will so many others!
Buddy you will truley be missed. During my 6 years at LBC I had the pleasure of meeting you. You always kept a positive spirt and a smile that lite up the room. Every year we could best believe that we would get at least one christmas card in the mail and it would be from you :-). What are we going to do without you Buddy? You will always be present in spirit flashing your beautiful angelic wings.
It’s been almost a year, Buddy. Ron misses your phone calls, and I miss knowing you would always be there if I needed you. Sharmon is doing okay. Tiffini is about to graduate–so proud of her. Michelle and Richard moved into their new house. Life goes on, but it is a much duller world without you. Miss your laugh and sense of humor, and playing spades will never be the same. Love you always.
I had no idea Buddy has passed until now. I’ve known Buddy for 20 years. I worked under him as a contractor in the 90’s and stopped by to see him often in the plant when I took a sales position. I have thought about him often this past year and was looking for him on facebook tonight to say hello.What a truly great family man with a contagious laugh. You will be missed Buddy. Condolences to the family.
I knew Buddy from the business/customer side. He was a fun customer to have and was a good man. He always made me laugh even when we had trying business matters to discuss. I also knew Buddy also as a giver and a person that loved his fellow man and maker.
He will be missed. Bless his family and peace to all.
