Vera Lavada Brooks Hammond peacefully slipped away June 13, 2014. A long-time resident of Houston, Tx, she was born Oct. 25.1929 in Ulan, Oklahoma, to Brian and Ella Brooks, she is survived by her husband of 64 yrs, Daly P. Hammond; children: Carol, Nancy, Ronald, Terry, and Karen; grandchildren: Tim, Mark, Melinda, Matt, Michelle, Josh, Samantha, Shane, Sarah, Lucas, Logan, and CJ; and many beloved great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3 pm, Saturday, June 21st at Crowder Funeral Home, 111 East Medical Cntr. Blvd., Webster, Texas 77598
The family requests in lieu of flowers or memorial gifts that donations be made to the American Lung Assoc.
