Earl Edward McVay, Sr.
Earl Edward McVay, Sr., 73, of Texas City, went to be with Jesus on Monday, September 23, 2019. Earl was born on November 26, 1945 in Biloxi, Mississippi, and he was one of ten children.
Anyone who knew Earl knew he was a good man who loved to help others. Earl loved fishing, playing pool and spending time with his family. Some of his favorite pastimes included tending to his horses and chickens, spending time outside gardening and relaxing with his best friend “PePe”. He will be missed by all that knew him.
Earl is preceded in death by his parents Stewart McVay Sr. and Elizabeth McVay, (2) brothers, (5) sisters, and other family members.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 37 years, Patricia A. McVay; sisters Betty Jean Cook and Rita Hubbard; children, Tammy (Mike), Earl Jr., Christie (Leonard), Harold (Billie), John (Amy), Linda, Joseph and Stewart; 21 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and many family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Earl Edward McVay, Jr., Harold McVay, John Algiere, Joseph Algiere, Stewart McVay, William McVay, Jr., Leonard Rios and Mike Ivey.
Donations may be made in Earl’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital at Stjude.org or Shriners at donate.lovetotherescue.org.
As per Earl’s request, services will be private.
I love you so much and wish I could be there to celebrate your life with the rest of my family. I’m so sorry I didn’t get to see you again before I moved, but know we thought of you and prayed fo you. I’m so glad you’re not in pain anymore, even though it sucks for me.
I wish I could be there with everyone. I love you all and hope that you are all okay.
