  3. The neighborhood hasn’t been the same without Lupe. Definitely going to miss the talks we had. Not a man of many words but we did talk about a lot. He was always offering to help me and my daughter…always asked if I was sure – I was happy to have him as a neighbor and a friend. Rest well Lupe and I’m happy the pain is gone. Prayers to everyone who is missing a part of them now.

  7. If you were to close your eyes and dream of the perfect neighbor, you would see Lupe‘s face.

He was one of the best mechanics that I have ever known. It was both an honor and a privilege to be his neighbor for almost four decades. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and assist the little old ladies in the neighborhood with their automotive needs. On occasion, he would even help them mow their grass.

Lupe hated thieves so it was no surprise to me when he joined the neighborhood watch committee. I never worried about going out of town or leaving my house unattended. All I had to do was tell him that my house was going to be unattended and he would say, “Don’t worry I’ll shoot first and ask questions later”.

About 15 years ago I accidentally locked myself out of my house. To make matters worse, I was in my underwear. I remember the look of horror on his face when he answered his door and saw me there. He then smiled and said, “Let me guess…you need the spare key to your house”. 😂

The last few years he really became fond of my Chihuahua. From time to time he would tell me, “I would be happy to watch Smokey the next time you go hunting or fishing”.

Lupe was a good man but he was a great neighbor. We will miss him.

    Rest In Peace
