Dwight Diver Judy
Dwight Diver Judy, 70, passed away March 13, 2019. Born in Chanute, KS, on September 19, 1948, and raised in Hays, KS, he moved his wife and family to Clear Lake Forest in 1985. He and his wife had been residents of League City, TX, for the past 18 years. He retired in 2012 from American National Insurance Company of Galveston after 26 years. He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church in Nassau Bay for 33 years, where he served on its school board and helped kick off the tradition of a BBQ lunch at the annual church festival.
Loving husband, father and Granddad and loyal friend, Dwight enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and traveling with family and friends. An avid golfer, he was a long-time member of South Shore Harbor Country Club. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and cooking elaborate and delicious meals for family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Charlotte Judy, and brother, David.
Dwight is survived by Carolyn, his wife of 47 years; his children, Megan and husband Mike McClure; Stephen and wife Rachel; five grandchildren: Emma, Madelyn, Greta, Oliver and Vera; and cousin, Doris and husband Dan Slane.
A memorial service will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church in Nassau Bay on Saturday, March 23rd at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the 100 Club of Houston or St. Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church: Gifts and Memorials Fund.

We shared many great times traveling and business events. Dwight was always actively setting dinners and events to keep us all entertained. A couple of our favorites was a trip to Rockport and to the wine country with a trip down Pacific Coast Highway. Our Christmas lunches with Ray, Kathy, Jim and Susan were special to me also. Wishing peace for you in the coming days. Your family is in my prayers.

Dwight was a special friend. He was very instrumental in helping me in our credit insurance business with American National. We also became very good friends and traveled with him and Carolyn to Argentina, Costa Rica, Scotland , and Ireland. Dwight made all the arrangements. He was a pro at finding great deals on accommodation and places to eat. We hunted and fished many times together and just spent 4 days 3 weeks ago making sausage on a friends ranch. We even tried to shoot a nilgai but didn’t have any luck. I am grateful for the time we were together. I will truly miss him.
Bettie and I will never forget all our good times God only gives a you a few good friends and Dwight was one of ours. God bless his family and help them through our loss.

Dwight arranged a Gulf Fishing expedition in 2004 on the ANICO yacht. That remains a really good memory for the select few of us that were in that group (mostly family). Then there were the typical brother-in-law efforts to help Eldon and Mina Ruth in their later years. I’ve seen some early marriage photographs of Dwight, Dick, and myself. Surely there is forgiveness for early fashion statements.
Dwight was a good man, we’re gonna miss him .
I am eternally gratified that I had the opportunity to visit and stay with you and Dwight that last weekend of February. You both were such good hosts and made my stay so pleasant. It’t been a long and wonderful relationship! Will we ever forget Steven and Allison in the Christmas pageant at St. Thomas!

I’ll always have fond memories of Dwight. Anyone that knew him will miss him. His quick smile, deep laugh and always positive attitude made me cheerful. My heart aches for Dwight’s family and you are in my prayers.
