Susana Guerrero Flores
Susana Guerrero Flores, 85, passed away peacefully with her family by her side and went to be with her Lord on March 3, 2019. Susana was born August 11, 1933 in La Vernia, TX. She was a resident of Pasadena, TX for over 46 years. Susana was employed with Texas A&M and a part of the Nutrition Program teaching nutrition to families in Houston. Susana was also employed at University of Houston working at the parent child development center. In addition, she worked as a teacher in the Catholic school system and also as a nurse’s aide at hospitals in the Austin, TX area. Susana also dabbled as an entrepreneur selling products such as Avon, Tupperware etc. Susana enjoyed being in her backyard and loved to garden. She especially loved her rose garden and enjoyed over the years many memorable barbecues with her family. She was married for 54 years to her first and only love Alfredo Flores whom she met while working at her family owned restaurant in Taylor, Texas.
Susana is preceded in death by her husband, Alfredo Flores; daughters: Delma Susan Flores and Martha Leticia Sherman; parents, Isabel and Rufino Guerrero; sister, Elizabeth Jimenez; brothers: Frank Guerrero, Leo Guerrero, Rufino Guerrero and Manuel Guerrero.
Susana leaves behind to cherish her memories, daughters: Christine Ann Goines, husband Don and Irene Lynn Olvera, husband Felipe; son, Alfredo Flores Jr. 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; sisters: Annie Niño, husband Narcico Niño and Hope Guerrero; brother, Julian Guerrero.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 9:30 am with a funeral service to begin at 11:30 am in the chapel of Crowder Funeral Home, 2422 Broadway, Pearland, TX 77581, www.crowderfuneralhome.com. Burial to follow at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77038, www.cem.va.gov.
Pallbearers will be: Daniel Plata, Brian Goines, Chad Hicks, Alfred Flores III, Jonathan Flores, Patrick Martinez, Phillip Olvera, Nicholas Meza.
